Smylie Kaufman

Carter Smylie Kaufman was born on November 30th, 1991 to parents Jeff and Pam Kaufman. Golf was always in his blood, and when he hit high school – this began to shine through.

Smylie was a nationally-ranked golf prospect who signed with Louisiana State University’s golf program, and was ranked number 21 recruit in the country for Golfweek’s Class of 2010. Moving on to the LSU men’s golf team only looked up for him, and his impressive collegiate run showed it. By his senior year with the Tigers, Smylie showed that his golf career was headed straight to the top of the leaderboard – ranking 62nd in the Golfweek rankings for that year and was named the PING All-Southeast Region performer as well. After graduating from LSU in 2014, he decided to go pro.

Smylie joined the Web.com Tour during the 2014-2015 season, where he played 20 events and had five, top 10 finishes. His secured PGA TOUR card for 2015-2016 season, where he captured his first TOUR victory at the Shriners Hospital for Children Open in 2015.
